Location of the rock paintings
The rock paintings are located on the interior walls of mostly small ‘caves’, under overhangs, on rock walls, on individual rocks or on the underside of displaced rock slabs (1-5). It is remarkable that the paintings were applied preferably to weathered areas of the rock wall typical for the rock of the Latmos Mountains, the edges of which often also served as the edges of the pictures.
